Apple recently upgraded the Pin Connector on the iPhone 5 and the iPad 4 to the new Lightning Connector rather then the old 30-Pin Connector. So, I was just wondering why did Apple take the time to change it? Like does the Lightning Connector make it charge faster, or what?Thanks!
Others say that Apple was very clever to come up with a new lightning connecter because customers would have to spend more money on products that will work for the iPhone's new USB. Pros to the Lightning Connector: 1. Reversible Unlike the 30-pin, the lightning connector will plug into your iPhone on either side. This is great if you are in a rush or not needing to look which side is which to plug your phone in. 2. Durable Some people feel that with the 30-pin, it feels like you are ruining your phone as you plug the connector in. It also seems that it can break off easily. I always seem to accidentally yank my Apple Device, causing the 30-pin connector to come off very easily. Or when I drop my iPod Touch, the connector unplugs itself. With the Lighting Connector, it seems to stay put in the hole very securely. The connection does not feel loose. 3. 80% Smaller
The only improvement of the new connector is to Apple's earnings circulation by using forcing the acquisition of new accessories by the sheep (you, the uninformed trendsetting patron). Spend, fools, spend! Did you believe they were a charity?
