What's the difference between a steel tire and an ordinary one?
The main difference between a steel tire and an ordinary tire is the structural difference.
Ordinary tires, that is, crossed tyres. It's an old fashioned tyre. The tire is composed of tread, ply (carcass), buffer layer and bead, ply tyre is the skeleton, to keep the shape and size of the tire, usually made of multi-layer into even hanging tape (cord) with a rubber cord cord attached to, and tread the center line of approximately 35 angle, from one side of the bead through the tread to the other side of the bead. In the selection of nylon, polyester fiber or a high strength cord material, can greatly improve the tire load carrying capacity, improve the tire performance, is a commonly used modern automobile tires.
A steel tire, a radial tire. Radial tire is a kind of structural form of tire, commonly known as "steel tire"". It can be divided into three types: full steel radial tire, steel radial tire and full fiber radial tire according to different materials. The international code for radial tires is "R", because of its carcass structure, unlike those of skewed tyres, some countries refer to radial tires, X tires, etc..
