Peeing the bed is a matter to be discussed with a doctor. If there is nothing physically wrong, then it may just be laziness or an underling mental problem. Not listening is showing no respect. Not studying can be either laziness or not understanding the curriculum. Talking to the teacher may tell you which one. Setting some rules with consequences for disobeying will help. You both must follow through or it is useless. Make a chart of what they should each do like each night take a shower and brush their teeth, or picking up their clothes or games by 7 pm will show them that this is what shall be done. If not, then no game for a day or no dessert for a week. What ever you feel the consequences should be. Using the go to your room may not work, go to a chair and sit for 20 minutes might if you keep putting him back and resetting a timer. Your hubby should demand they respect the both of you and not be afraid to set boundaries and rules that they should follow.
There are several books that discuss lightning protection for boats, but in my experience it can and does strike boats. Usually without lose of life, but I was involved in a lightning fatality a few years ago. It was a open boat near shore.tragic.I think many of the things that work on land work on water, but I think it might actually attract lightning. I've seen lightning rods bonded to copper cable, that ran down the transom to a copper plate that was in the water. It's my understanding that there are maintenance issues in brackish waters. I had a sailboat where the mast and chain-plates where bonded to several thru-hull fittings with 8 wire. To my knowledge, this is an art, with very little scientific research to back up what actually is the best way to handle it. Most every year, I know of lightning striking a boat nearby. Usually burning up radios, TV,s and microwaves. A few years back a sport fisherman was struck . It effected some equipment but not others. I actually saw a splinter from the main strike hit an antenna on the boat. Well I don't know what to tell you, but i've got to put out some alligator repellentGood luck!
Well.. that is what you plan for ahead of time. So you are not caught out in that situation. Look at weather reports and chart systems on the go so that you can avoid the conflict all together. There is no such thing as a lightning proof boat. Get a weather radio and set it to the proper weather forecast frequency for your area and keep batteries for it.
