Perform, sweetie. Maybe you should take a break from singing and study up on your English? You should check out 'If You Must' by Del
You may want to consider checking out some theater-based pieces and staying away from the pop and country genres. I've learned that that helps me in auditions. Also, try not to do something that is too widely known, like say, Seasons of Love [RENT] Defying Gravity [Wicked] or Memory [CATS]. Pieces from other, lesser known shows tend to catch your casting director's eyes and ears. Also, I recommend you dress for the part. Sticking with the Wicked theme, let's just say you go in for an audition as the Wicked Witch of the West. Don't go in to your audition painted green wearing a floor length black ball gown. Instead, you could do your hair in an Elphaba fashion, wear a bit of green eye make up and a knee-length green and black dress. A couple of songs I would recommend would be Rose's Turn from Gypsy. Although this one is fairly well known, it isn't something that you hear as often as RENT, or Wicked, so I think you'd be fine to try this. You could also try something from the Funny Girl or West Side Story. Although if you do try WEST SIDE STORY, I encourage you to stay away from Tonight and America, as those are incredibly overused. I hope my comments have helped you a bit! xMags
