So I'm going to a neurologist tomorrow and was just wondering other than a CAT scan what tests will be performed and what they will show. Also will my neurologist be able to tell if I've drank alcohol in the past 24 hours?
Sometimes they do an EMG / NCS or MRI of the cervical spine.
I agree with Nathan on this one. The physician's office should be a non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to disclose any information with the doctor. He or she will certainly not judge you based on your drug use, and I can almost guarantee that this will not be the first time they have seen a patient with a history of recreational drug use. It is a normal part of the patient interview to inquire about it. They will need this information to aid in their diagnosis and treatment plans so it will certainly benefit you to tell them! If anything, be proud of your progress so far in abstaining from drugs. Best of luck!
