I am going to buy a 2005 Msutang V6 and i'd like to know what i need to be looking for to make it sounds loud. I do not know which exhaust system to buy. I'm only looking to spend about $500-$600.I see there are Catback, axleback, mid-pipe and exhaust headers. What do i need for my 05 Mustang to sound mean?Could someone send me a link too or something. Just please give me all the information i should need to. THANKS!!
usually the only way a mustang will sound good and loud is if you get it with a V8 engine. V6 engines are for mini vans not muscle cars
what about the proportioning valve I don't know it is just an idea. Also maybe you could buy a cap or something to take off both rear wheel lines and cap them. After that try to use your brakes if they all of a sudden start to work then you will know that is something to do with the rear brakes. Keep me posted.
one of your wheels has the caliper hung up where the brake pads are actually stuck against the rotor put the front up in the air and see if you can turn the wheels by hand if you can then put the back up and check those one of the 4 will not turn by hand when doing the front make sure you put the tranny in neutral B.
If you are looking for just sound then straight pipes with a set of Hooker Headers would do great. For performance go with a Flowmaster Axle-Back. Gives a GREAT sound (had one on mine before I sold it), and gives a small boost in power, while maintaining a stock look. True duals will be more than 500-600, so that might not be the way to go. If you get the axle-back (about $150 on OKorder, or $240 from Flowmaster), you can afford the KN Air Intake ($250), which can add some aggressive sound as well as performance gains.
All I have to say is I'm tired of people saying a V6 mustang is crap or not a real sports car. I have a 2004 V6 Mustang and I blow away the Mustang GT. And I must say I take pride on telling them I beat you with a mustang V6. People with mustang Gt's think they have the best and say the 6 is nothing. Just like who ever owns a mustang Saleen will say the GT isnt a real car and like who ever owns a Shelby will say the GT isnt a real car ect this will go on and on. A mustang is a mustang. If your going to buy a 2005 mustang your engine right from the get go has more HP then when I had my stock engine. I'm pushing 320whp so at the wheel. I'm smoking the Gt's and the Cobra's and bullit. Never tried against a shelby or saleen yet. I say stick with the 6 and smoke the 8!!! As for the Exhaust system. The flowmaster is a much louder deeper sound. The magnaflow has a nice purr.
