i have a 2001 mazda 323 astina hatchback, i want to get an exhaust system on it but i was wondering how much i would be looking at for it. i want it to be loud enough so you can tell theres an exhaust system but not too loud. what type of extractors etc would be best for this?
its physics when the rear wheels deliver that much force something has to give in that case the front tires come off the ground I have seen a moded f-250 crush beer cans all night long just by popping the clutch.
Hi for every action there is an opposite reaction so the rear wheels rotate into the ground when moving forward and if this force is strong enough it will have the action of lifting the front wheels off the ground. some drag racing cars fuel-led with nitrous oxide have been known to flip right over and killing the driver and spectators as a result.
The best exhaust is the factory stock. As much as the aftermarket would like you to believe, there is just not much power to be gained by replacing anything from the catalytic converter on back. The smaller the engine, the smaller the gain. About all you get with a loud muffler is a lot of noise. It will sound kind of like an old tractor.
I have an 04' Mazda rx8, and I am totally a ricer. I sold my Cat, and got a 150 dollar CATBACK exhaust from DN racing, it has 2 high flow resonators that do not help at all, but is enough to make cops look the other way. It is extremely loud. I can even backfire/shoot flames at 4000-6000 RPM's. But basically for you, if you want to tell it has an exhaust system and not have too loud, get an OKorder exhaust kit. It takes like 3-5 days to ship, but you save alot of money. Buy a Catback with mufflers/muffler or a resonator. 3'' exhaust will be fine. Catback exhaust are the cheapest, will pass smogtests, improve performance(by small margin), and sound better. Midpipe kit+catback means your cat will be sold to a watchmaker, you will not pass smog tests, replacing a OEM cat will be a 700 dollar repair, but your performance and sound will be the best.
