Question:

What type of insulation is most important?

My new rental is FREEZING cold at night even though it's summertimeI assume it isn't insulatedIf I am going to spend money to make it warmer (the landlord won't) what would be the best investment? Double paned windows? Attic insulation? Wall insulation? Thanks for your advice!

Answer:

if u get surgery at 16, ur risk of never waking up during the surgery are very high.you should just love you for who you are!!!!!when u r a few years older and still want it,then get it.but let me tell you its not easy.my aunt got it, and yes she look great now but it was very hard for her.the littlest things could start making her uncontrollabally throw up.she couldnt have alot of dairy, chocolate, meat, and all the good things she liked to eat.and her boyfran was a 4 star chef.so dont think as soon as you get that surgery that ur weight will just start dropping off and it will be a breeze, because its not.
I can answer this question because I've had the Lapband myselfPersonally it's the best thing that I've ever done for myself Many people believe that weight loss surgery is cheating.who cares? Cheating may save your life as far as I'm concernedBeing as overweight as you are not only is horrible for your self esteem, it's bad for your heart, joints and other organsIt's not easy losing with the band because you can still eat food that is high in calories and fatHowever it helps you limit the amount of food that you eat, and for me, it's motivated me to try to eat foods that are better for meI'd talk to your family physician and see if you'd be a candidate at your ageAlso you'll need to see if your insurance will pay for it or notIf for whatever reason you're not a candidate, you may also look at Weight WatchersThey have a fabulous program and are very motivationalOnce you start losing you'll feel so much better about yourself and that in itself will motivate youGood luck!
Way Way Way too young for gastric surgeryYour body has not fully developed yet and you'll be causing more harm than good at this timeAll I can say is work out like a nut, and truely watch your dietHad a buddy that weighed 340 almost all through high schoolWent to college and got his act together and dropped to 225 and ripped in 13 monthsBut he busted his butte 24/7 that entire timeStart hitting it hard!
I think its terrible a 16 yr old is even askingDo you realize you are at your prime for weight lossNo matter what kind of surgery you have your metabolism is going to stay the same unless you change that firstThen, years after the surgery some people are 2x as heavy as they wereI know you probably get made fun of etcBut, at 290 and 3500 calories per pound, do you realize how much food your eating just to maintain that kind of weightDo you realize just by getting up 30 minutes early and takeing a walk, at that weight you will be able to loose weight pretty easy, or get an inhome bike they are one of the cheapest exercise equiptmentCut the extra fat in your dietTurn the package over and if it has over 2g of saturated fatyou DONT eat itJust do that for now and see what happensThe fat will melt offGet into a reality check of what your eating and up on the vegetables to cleanse out your system
I'm going to give the obvious check that the thermostat is not broken, and is set properly answer first, because I feel I shouldAfter that I would recommend attic insulation as the easiest and cheapest solutionHonestly, I would never suggest going to the expense of putting windows or insulation in a place you are renting, unless the landlord will reimburse you or take the cost off your rentHowever, if you are planning on staying there awhile, insulating the attic may pay for itself in the long run in the utility money you save (if your utilities are included, though, then just turn on the heat at night, because the landlord will have to pay for it then).
