What type of metal is inside the PS2 deck?

Ok so i took apart a ps2 deck and there a large piece of shiny sheet metal color of silver, so i want to know what type of metal it is. Thank you.

Answer:

It doesn't seem necessary. You could always put him in a fleece sleeper or other warm pjs and give him extra blankets. I personally dislike electric blankets so we don't have any for that reason but it does seem a little dangerous. I had a heating pad suddenly get way too hot on me as a teenager that left a big red mark across my back and it seems like a heating blanket could do the same and if he's sleeping he may not notice to take it off. They could overheat quicker with the electric blanket than a regular one.
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axqJV I've run into people who had housefires and died from electric blankets. So no. Where I do use one personally, it's with safeties involved. I bought a cheap feather blanket and put it under my toddler, and then she has several blankets and really warm nighties, and that works great. For my 1 year old, he just has blankets and nighties. For me. we do have an electric bed warmer, but it's not plugged in most of the time. If it's a really cold night, I use it to get warm, then turn it off (put it on a timer so it turns off.) I put a feather pillow on my feet that really helps my feet get warm (which is the main problem) plus feather blankets and plenty of blankets to get us warm. SOMETIMES I use a heating pad, but that automatically turns off every 2 hours as well.
I would say it isn't safe to use. You should never use an electric blanket with really young children who aren't capable of realizing they are too hot and removing the blanket. If you want to lay the electric blanket on his bed for a while before bedtime so that it warms the bed up then that would be ok. Then either remove the blanket or at least turn it off when you put him to bed. His body heat should keep him warm during the night. You should also make sure he wears warm pajamas at night so he doesn't get too cold.
Aluminum and copper are probably the only metals you'll find within the PS2. Anything else wouldn't be cost effective to produce on a massive scale like they did with the PS2. If there are any connecting wires from the DVD/CD tray to a motherboard they may be wrapped in something like coated cellophane. No really valuable metal within the console. Hope it helps.
