hum in the attic eww i just had a pipe freeze under my sinki was gonna say maybe a space heater or hair dryer - but i dont know how hard that would be to get up there.
At your hardware store r special heating elements to wrap around pipesThere is a cord which plugs into an oulet You can also use a hand held butane lighter but that may be to dangerous if you don't know how to use them or WHAT PIPE YOU ARE HEATIN UP (ie gas line) But for a quick fix try an electric blanket wrapped around pipes and plug into an outlet
Better insulate the pipes for sure this summerIf you can get to the pipes easy, you could take a propane torch and heat them a bit, but be careful not to set the house on fire.
Just had this problem with my pumphouse pipesFirst remove the old insulation from around the pipes and use a blowdryer or heat lamp to thaw the pipesBefore re-insulating the pipes place electric heat tapes on themThese are available at your local hardware storeFollow the directions for installing the heat tape and re insulate the pipes.
