Question:

what weighs more? cement or sand?

what weighs more? cement or sand?

Answer:

depends on the type of sand and the type of cement, along with the moisture content of both. Also are you talking about cement that has been poured and cured or not?
I truthfully have the excellent answer: one hundred pounds (be conscious the greater care into spelling out the pounds of their excellent entirety HURRAYH!!) i assume your question is how plenty one hundred lbs of dry cement weighs while blended and hardened. that isn't any longer ordinary to assert. Concrete is made via blending mixture (small stones), sand, cement and water so based on the guy densities of sand and aggregates you may get various effects. i attempted to discover a coarse determine yet to no avail.
we all know for sure that a pound is a pound :p whether it's cement or even feauthers.. but I guess that she means what is heavier and most suitable to be in a small bag ( then for sur cement is ) cause a pound of cement is smaller in the quantity so you in a smal bag you can carrry more cement than sand ) ;)
I'm guessing by cement you mean concrete. Weights vary somewhat. Concrete 143 lbs. Cement 94 lbs. Sand 100 lbs. per cubic foot. Cement is the binder that chemically reacts to bind sand and stone making concrete. And yes, a pound of sand weighs the same as a pound of cement. Volume of sand would be greater than the volume of a pound of cement. Somebody was being a smart aleck. Joatmon
I guess your talking about dry? For equivalent volume cement is heavier than sand.
