Question:

what will be the effect on the effectiveness of a heat exchanger ?

if it is designed in europe and used in asia in respect of environmental conditions. mathematical proof?

Answer:

If the heat exchanger is designed in EUROPE using design conditions relevant to Asia where it will be used, (taking care of environmental conditons to be encountered at site), then it will suffer no loss of effectiveness . But if it is designed based on EUROPEAN design ambient conditions and used in Asean installation, then there may be variance noted in its performance effectiveness and corrections may be required considering the type of heat exchanger e.g 1. Fired type or unfired type HEATER . 2. Open system type or closed system type ETC The difference of site ambient condtions like elevation/pressure, ambient temperature, humidity, coastal or tropical environment (corrosive or biological fouling ) may mave distinct effect on heat exchanger performance. Some are well explained by existing mathematical expressions of heat transfer and no need for further ellaboration is called for.
