Answer:

He's withholdingLook that up online and you'll come up with lots of good infoKeep with the Miralax consistentlyWe gave my son 1/2 of an adult does everyday for almost 1 yr, due to withholding Occasionally we used the LIQUID glycerin suppositories ( easier quicker than the solid ones)your son's bowel can become impacted ( and can even rupture) if you don't stay with it EVERY dayAlsodon't even give one seconds thought to the $$y remarks form some of the people that have NO CLUE about parenting! Good LUCK!!
Yep.the symptoms sound exactly like my grandsonI almost think he is afraid to go sometimesWhat I had my daughter-in-law and son do was to buy that clear dissolving Fiber Con that you can buy at Wal-mart, etcThey give this to their son every time he has juice or waterSince it dissolves, he doesn't even know he is taking itIt loosened him right up and he has no problem going nowIt is nothing but fiber so he is getting nothing artificialAnd YES, the length of time your child is waiting is far too longYou could be looking at a major bowel obstruction that might require surgery sooner or later.
My baby went through that when she was less than 1 yearI couldnt stand it! One day, my hubby had to literally hold her legs back while pulling out the (for lack of a better word) pooh out! she was screamingI know you are worried, but you are doing the best you canJust keep doing what you are doing, increase liquids and fiberI know you need some answers, but I dont understand why your doctor would neglect you an office visit to at least ease your inquiry. If you dont trust your doctor, go get a second opinion to at least make sure there isnt anything else going on, rather than waiting a weekTrust me, you will at least feel better that it is nothing to serious if you hear it from somewhere else! I hope your little one feels better soon!
The advantage of alpaca is that it is soft, nice to work with, and hypoallergenicMany people allergic to wool are not allergic to alpacaIf allergies are not an issue, I like mohair as it is incredibly light weight, and warmFor babies that are colicky you might want a heavy weight yarn, a cotton or woolAll are good choices, most important is a yarn you like to work withYou will be working with this yarn for a long time, so make sure it is a pleasure for you to work with( Oh, and if you do not trust the giftee to wash the blanket by hand, make sure it is a machine washable yarn, super wash, or cotton)
I work at a pediatric hospital and we see this quite a bitYou need to get a pediatrian that will order you some tests to make sure it is not Hirschsprung's disease: Hirschsprung's (HURSH-sprungz) disease, or HD, is a disease of the large intestine The large intestine is also sometimes called the colonThe word bowel can refer to the large and small intestinesHD usually occurs in childrenIt causes constipation, which means that bowel movements are difficultSome children with HD can't have bowel movements at allThe stool creates a blockage in the intestines If HD is not treated, stool can fill up the large intestineThis can cause serious problems like infection, bursting of the colon, and even deathMost parents feel frightened when they learn that their child has a serious diseaseThis booklet will help you understand HD and how you and the doctor can help your childWe do a test called a Barium Enema to diagnose it!
