Question:

What Would Be The Best Way To Prepare These Koi For Moving?

If you've looked back in my questions, I have about 10 baby koi that I NEED to get rid ofI finally found someone who will take them :) the only problem is that I need to drop them offIt's only about a 5 minute walk, but it's FREEZING cold outI have a bucket with a lid that I'm going to useWould using 50% their old water and 50% new warmer water help? And should I take them out of the tank and put them in the bucket tonight, or tomorrow? I think tomorrow would be bestIs there any way I can make the move a bit less stressful? I'm going to be walking, but it's not far.

Answer:

Use their water and take them out right before you leaveDon't add warm water5 minutes walking is fine and won't be a huge temperature dropThe addition of hot water would be a sudden change and more stressful than notIdeally use an ice chest instead of a bucket which is better insulation.
30.5 x 75.0 x thickness 36.8 thickness 36.8 / (30.5 x 75.0)
Let d cm be the thickness of the foil, then (75)(30.5)d36.8 d0.016 cm approximately
Volume width x lenght x thickness Volume 38.6 cm^3 width 30.5 cm length 75.0 cm 38.6 cm^3 30.5 cm X 75.0 cm X thickness 38.6 cm^3 2287.50 cm^2 thickness 38.6 cm^3/ 2287.50 cm^2 thickness 0.016874 cm
If your problem is stated correctly, the mass is not a matter to be concerned withVolume (V) is the product of length (l) x width (w) x thickness (t)To determine any one of the factors which might be unknown, you need to substitute the known factors in the equation V lwt 36.8 cm^3 30.5 cm x 75.0 cm x t first do the math: 36.8 30.5 x 75 x t 36.8 2287.5t divide both sides by 2287.5 0.0160874 cm t
