Question:

What would happen if I don't do something about my Wheel Ball Bearings?

I learned that I need to have my wheel ball bearings replaced. What would happen to my car if I dont replace it?

Answer:

The ball bearings in the races if the wheels are not serviceable. The entire wheel bearing hub assembly must be replaced. When front wheel drive wheel bearings start to go bad they'll roar like a freight train getting louder as you drive faster. If they are not repaired you will ruin a spindle or a CV joint if your wheel doesn't lock-up or crash into a wall first. NAPA sells SKF wheel bearing hub assemblies and Carquest has Timken. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by buying off-shore wheel bearings.
They can begin to wear away the metal where they are fitted, and start to enlarge it. it will alsostart to cause wheel wobble and braking problems.
It could cause you to have an accident. Bad bearings can run a long time though, if you can live with the noise. Once you start feeling a vibration you should go ahead and replace them.
When it finally blows up, it will chew up a bunch of other parts and will cost you much, much more. I am talking hundreds.
