What would happen if?

You made a perfect box out of two way mirrors, (the kind they use in interigation rooms) and made it so the reflective sides were all facing in and the see through sides were outside. Would the light collect inside? Would there be any way to trap light?

Answer:

No it's best if it's a dry joint! But if you do a swagged joint then you do require a thread sealer. I normally twist thread tape into a round wrap it around before the swag it's never failed me yet! Some plumbers prefer hemp Graphite grease, but I find that's too messy! Cheers!
None of this effects your lease at all.Your safety issues have nothing to do with the lease.

As long as your landlords are fulfilling their obligations, to my knowledge, no. Afterall, the courts can't guarantee that there won't be any crime around the next place you move to either. But let me mention that this is one of the downsides of living on private properties. Most bigger Florida apartment complexes are pretty strict about who they will put on a lease.. that doesn't mean that other people won't move in too though. Where I'm at now is the strictest yet.. it is income restricted and they even pick at people who are not on the lease.
No there is no clause in rental laws that say you can break your lease if you feel your personal safety or family safety are in question. Your lease is a legally binding contract and you cannot get out of it without a penalty. Most landlords require 30-60 days written notice while you continue paying rent. You are then charged 2-3 months rent plus administrative fees in one lump sum as penalty for breaking the lease early.
