Question:

What would you use to make copper get a dark bronze color?

I have some sheets of copper that need to turn a dark bronze-ish color to match the drawer pulls. We have tried muratic acid and leaving it out in the rain. Does anyone else know what works.

Answer:

Heat it, to get a thin layer of dark copper oxide. You can always clean it off if it doesn't work.
