Question:

Whats a good exhaust system to buy for my truck?

okay, so i have a ‘07 Silverado with the Vortec Max package, 6.0 Litre. I‘ve done a little modification since then by adding a kn intake, light bar, HID‘s, and neons. I want to add a little more horses to it by installing a cat-back exhaust system on it. But i dont want to spend a lot of money on a piece of ****, i was wondering what is a very good brand i should get that will make a good loud noise and wont have me regretting buying it.

Answer:

try a locally owned muffler shop for the cat back, with Flowmaster Delta-Flow 50
I have a Gibson on my truck and it bolted right up. I like the way it sounds and the quality of assembly.
Ram and Dude have good points, BUT consider this, unless you are planning to be in the gas all the time, a mandrel bend system like gibson will cost a lot of money compared to the mom and pop muffler shop, Performence and mileage you wont see a difference ( Just a very little ) Now the mom and pop shop wont look as shinny, but they install it for you. Or you can pay them to install your Gibson. Bottom line I went with mom and pop 2.5 cat back with a dynomax muffler, parts and labor $75.00 installed. So crunch the number for your truck
