I agree with above, all you have to do is put a magnet on your hard-disk, and put a wire from some random place on the motherboard to another and make it short-out.
i assume you want warranty, They will know as many people tryAnyway, I suppose if you really want it to die and not work at all, you could go into the BIOS and change some settings, as it is trying to save them (flashing the BIOS) , unplug it, with some luck (I guess.), it would not start again.

my computer was crap and starting to not work and it was still under warrenty but they said that their wasnt a problem with it so i tried to mess it up on the motherboard, didnt go to well, they found out and i had killed my computer and got nothing in return, so dont do it
