i hear that water or ice can get in the cold air intake how do you prevent that? which one to PICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it certainly does run through the transmission ! as long as the engine is running there,s fluid running through the transmission and torque converter.
Yes the fluid runs while idling. Sounds like time for a rebuild of your trans
Cold air intake was really designed for the professional TRACK racing. It was NOT designed for street car. So you cannot prevent water from getting in. And once you get water in the intake, you got real problems. And once the car gets moving, they both suck in ambient temp air. There's no difference in power for street driving. If you really want some performance, do both a short air intake and exhaust header pipes. I have both in my Civic and you get real performance boost when you do both. Good Luck.
Yes, it acts as both a coolant and lubricant for the transmission and is constantly flowing when the engine is running.
