Leave it if you can and scoop out between the rafters and put the pink rolls down and that stuff on top for better insulation, if you are replacing drywall on the ceiling and have to get rid of it, try calling a duct cleaning company they have those vacuum mounted trucks.
Seriously you need aluminum foilHowever, you probably don't want the pieces sticking togetherTry putting down a sheet of foilThen put a slice on topPut another piece of foil on top of that piece, then place the next piece on top it will keep the slices fresh, and they won't stick togetherPlus, you'll have more room in your fridge.
