Question:

whats the difference between semi-auto transmission and manual transmission?

as u already see. my question is what‘s the difference between semi-auto transmission and manual transmission? i know that the semi-auto people also called clutchless manual transmission, u just have to shift by the stick. if so, then why people still saying it‘s not as good as the manual transmission when it comes to performance? for example, if u do drift. r there any difference? can semi-auto does exactly what manual transmission could? what about E-brake? is there any difference too? i really need a full detail answer of this. thanks!!!

Answer:

a semi auto transmission is the same as an auto transmission except it requires you to select gears electronically via shifter.you are just moving a lever connected to a sensor/switch. with a manual transmission you are operating the clutch and manually shifting gears back and forth in the transmission. the reason a semi auto or auto transmission is not good for drifting is that they do not shift fast enough, or engage the gears hard enough. this can be improved with a shift kit by increasing tranny pressure, but the manual will always give you more control. now for the e-brake, with a semi/auto transmission when you pull the ebrake the motor is still pulling the wheels and won't allow them to lock up especially in high rpm's, you need to be able to free the wheels via clutch to lock the rear wheels up. in closing the best possible setup is a sequential shifter with a clutch, which allows you to simply push the shifter forward to gear up or pull backward to gear down.
When you installed breaker - it is turned off. You hook the power (black wire) to it. Hook the white the the neutral bar. The you turn the breaker on. Does it trip? If you hook the hot to the breaker, turn it on and touch it against the neutral and get a spark, yes it will trip. It's doing it's job. But if you hook it up the way I first mentioned and it does not trip, your good. If it does trip then your have to check to see what' s all on that circuit and may be have to split some things up.
It sounds like there's a hot-to-ground connection or short somewhere on that circuit and your GFI breaker is doing what it's supposed to do. Sparks from your ground wire is never a good sign!

have a local electrician install it in your system. From your description it could be any or several of 3 different problems and trying to diagnose them on line in this case is very dangerous and very frustrating to all concerned. Personally I prefer to use a GFI receptacle and to protect the others down line from it. I recently had a neighbor who tried to protect with both on the same circuit. It does not work.
