1200D is more waterproof and a bit warmer than a 600D1200 denier means there are 1200 stitches to the inch and 600 denier means 600 stitches to the inchTherefore the more stitches per inch the tighter the weave so making it warmer and more waterproofI have 7 different rugs for my cob and put on what ever suits the weatherHe has a good thick one on at night although he is in thenWhen it gets colder, i.efrosty nights, I put a blanket on under the rugHe is not clipped at all but has a very fine coat and skin, so what I put on him, may not suit yours.
