I have a 03 Chevy impala and when I push the gas to take off, it drags for a long time then it jumps really hard and starts driving. I checked my transmission fluid and its fine. I know it‘s hard to tell unless you actually check it out but could anyone tell me what this might be?

you can look on the side of the tire it is usually black and hard to see and it will be in () . you have to look very carefully.
on the inside of the drivers door, some fords have the sticker on the inside of the trunk
feels like the pump interior the tranny went out. likely the tranny is going to go with an entire rebuild, examine around for a rebuilt or junk backyard one that has some sort of assure.
Best case scenario your transmission fluid and filter may need changed. Worst case scenario your transmission needs replaced or rebuilt. My transmission did the same thing. Changing the fluid helped but only for a couple months then i had to replace it. Good luck
