Question:

when buying a cold air intake?

does it have to be specific for my car or can i just get one from auto zone and put it in my car will it fit

Answer:

I also think the 600 is way too much. No one will change my mind. Whatever experience you have isn't enough. Just the mention of reduced power modes tells me this. In 25 years of riding, the reduced power has always been in the right wrist and left foot. I see Jon got a thumb down, but he's right. Under 18 cannot sign legal contracts. Buying and selling requires legal contracts.
Being 16 I don#x27;t think they will sell it to you. You have to be 18 maybe 21 in some states. No matter how experienced you are.
Have you ever seen anything universal fit right? I have not - Best bet to get the right one - made for your car. I can get them for 45.00 AEM KN filter - 15.00
You need to get the one designed for your car. It's the only way to maximize performance.
1. Don't go to Autozone to get a cold ait intake kit. 2. Visit your local O'Reilly's Auto Parts or Advance Auto Parts and tell them you want to order a KN cold air intake kit for your vehicle. 3. Tell them what kind of vehicle you have. 4. If KN does not have a cold air intake kit for your vehicle, then have them measure your stock air filter box and order a round filter(not the replacement filter) that has the right dimensions to fit your vehicle. 5. Install the new round filter. 6. You are now finished you have a cold ain intake system just without all the extras. Hope this helps!!
