The Romantic Eye Palette is really great. The first trio is amazing for a day look, or for a neutral, matte smoky eye. The second trio looks really great on brown, hazel, or green eyes because the purples really make them pop. Again, great for a colorful day application and can be bumped up to a fashion smoky eye. The last trio is beautiful on any eye color because they are bronze and gold. They are great for a soft, bohemian look or a deep smoky application if you apply a dark liner with it. The Tarte palette is natural, so if your eyes are sensitive I would try tarte. The Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is very light and creamy, it feels weightless and doesn't clump or flake. The liner is great because you can smudge it, or apply a nice crisp line and it lasts all day. The tarte palette has more shadows, so if you're looking to stock up on shadows then I would say the Tarte palette.
I looked at the reviews for both. Everyone was pleased with their purchase. The only complaint about the Too Faced one was that there is no applicator supplied. Personally, I like the Tarte True Blood one better. But that's just my opinion. I like that not only do you get a lot of eyeshadow, but you get mascara and eyeliner too. And you can do the romantic fairy look with the Tarte one, so it's almost like getting the Romantic Eye Pallet right in with this one.
