Question:

Where can I buy plastic plugs for aluminum siding on my home? I hv holes in siding left frm blown insulation.

I have aluminum siding on my homeIt's not vinylIt's definitely aluminum for sureI have some holes in the aluminum siding that are 2 inches in diameterThese are holes that were from when I had insulation blown into my exterior wallsThey capped the holes when they first did it but I lost some of the caps over this past winterI tried to contact the company that did the job but they are no longer in businessI've tried Home Depot and Lowe's with no luckThey both said they don't sell what I'm looking forThe bad thing about it is that neither store knew where I could find themPLEASE help me with some idea's!

Answer:

wellsort ofAluminum foil will bounce heat back into a house - you can put it under the sheet rockIf you look at some insulation products, they have tin foil on the surface to do just this Tin foil would be better than nothing.
It really depends on what you are insulatingFor a home with dry not hung, I would use fiber glass battsTo insulating existing walls, you may need to hire someone to blow-in celluose insulationYou won't notice much from alumium foil alone or save as much $$ from heating and cooling.
Blown-in insulation manufacturers sell the plugs to retailers and installersAny store that sells the insulation should be able to get the plugs, if they are willing to ask their manufacturerIf you have a smaller, family owned home center you might have better luckAnother option would be to call another insulatorThey would probably be willing to sell you a bag of plugs (may even give you a few) if you askThis is an insulator accessory, not a siding part, so the siding guys will not be able to help unless they happen to do insulation as well.
