Question:

Where can i find copper ?

I'm trying to scrap some stuff for my gas money. Where can i find copper?

Answer:

seriously? Scrapping copper to get any money would require pounds Copper price is about $4.00/lb. If you get a job tearing down a house you might be able to gleen a couple $200 in copper wire, or scraping the car you need to put gas in could net you a few bucks. What are you trying to scrap? Old electronics does have copper but quantities are minimal and would require a serious understanding of chemistry to get the copper values out of the scrap. How about just getting a job to buy gas?

First look on Craigslist in the free section. Old TV's have almost a pound of copper in them. Anything with an electric motor has copper in it. Even junk computers have copper. Look in the power source for the most. The video I linked to below is a guy pulling a TV apart. The prices he quotes are old. Copper prices change every day.
