im looking for a piece of pure (or, very close to) iron to use in a science experiment. the experiment is one where you drop a piece of iron in hydrogen peroxide and it speeds up the chemical decomposition. please and thank you!

Your local hardware store will have plenty of sources of iron.
Pure iron is very rare. pure in the sense it is not combined with oxygen. There are a few deposits of pure iron (native iron) in Russia. However, you are probably not looking for this purity. A hardware store would be your best bet.
