Glass has a hardness of 5.5 on the Mohs Scale, Quartz has a hardness of 7. Scratch your pendant against the glass -- if it gouges it, it's real quartz. If it doesn't, it's not. You can scratch it with a piece of glass to really prove it to yourself.
Quartz is the most commonest, cheapest gem there is so I do not think anyone would bother to imitate it. Take it to a jeweller's and have it assessed if you are really worried though.
