Answer:

Sounds like you've got more going on than just a slightly higher humidity level in the crawl spaceA common vapor barrier is just a layer of plastic which prevents moisture from traveling thru it6 mil plastic works just fine, and can be found at any hardware storeSeal or overlap the joints (by about a foot), and penetrationsThere are products made for cases where you want a stiffer plastic membrane, like when you are pouring a concrete floor, or foundation/wallOne such product is called PlenomThis product is NOT needed over a typical crawlspace floorthis is what you would put UNDER the concrete BEFORE it is poured There are some other considerations here toodo you have a central air drain, or clothes dryer vent that run into the crawlspace? If so, running those to the oustide of the crawlspace will help quite a bitYou'd be surprised how much moisture is created by just those twoCross ventilation is also important to prevent moisture build upFeel free to email me, with details, and perhaps I can offer some more specific adviceGood Luck
The breather tube is about 2 inches long and fits on a small aluminum tube poking out just left, next to the carburetorFrom the engine, the rubber tube fits onto the back of the air-filter boxXX
Go down to your local lumber yard and ask for itThey will have it or if they don't, they will be able to order it in for youYou'll have to know how much of it you'll needWhat you'll be looking for is a 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrierThere are other ventilation products out there that can also help to keep the moisture levels downYou might consider a powered crawl space ventillatorIt's basically a vent at the perimeter of the crawl space with a motorized fan that helps to circulate airthrough the space.
