Question:

Where is the closet garage to park my rental car when I visit the white house? I know there is a White House?

Visitor Center on 15th and E streetsI'm disabled so public transportation would not be an option as well as the fact I'm staying in MarylandThanks!

Answer:

Here is a great list for packingAs for the tent a 6 person tent may not be large enoughI would recommend 2 tentsgo for the best tents you can affordI have tents from REII think that no tent is better for car camping than the Base Camp 6For sleeping bags they are rated for temperature think about when you plan to go camping and find a bag that is rated for the lowest temperature that you will encounterHope this helps and if you have more specific questions about tents or other questions you will get a ton of responses hereENJOY!
I'm with Don on this oneYou are disabled, yet you can rent a car to drive so I am confused as to why public transportation is not an optionI have seen quadriplegics on the metro so I guess I don't get itYou don't say where in Maryland you are staying, but public transportation would be your best bet.especially if you intend to visit on a weekdayThe parking garages tend to fill up in the area and you can pretty much forget about any on street parking close byHowever, if you have a handicap placard, by law, you can park in any metered space, if you can find one, without paying for up to 4 hours.
