I heard the transmission drain plug is in the bottom of the engine, i don‘t want to get confused with the engine oil drain plug next time i am doing an oil change. Can anyone tell me the difference, so next time i will not unscrew the wrong drain plug?Car: 2002 Toyota Corolla Ce Automatic transmission
The transmission drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. The engine oil drain plug is on the bottom of the engine's oil pan. Engine oil will be amber to black. Transmission oil is red. It isn't easy to get the transmission drain mixed up with the engine's. If you got the right plug last time, you won't mistake it next time.
