I am trying to see if I need to fill up the transmission fluid that is located under the hood, except I am unable to find it‘s locationa little help please?!
Not sure at all, but as a guide ALL lorries [trucks] now have Intercoolers fitted standard, so it must be worthwhile.
Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Regular automatic transmission fluid level checks are not required. For this reason, the dipstick is omitted. If you notice fluid loss or gear shift malfunction, have your authorized dealer check the transmission fluid level. Lisa Customer Care Chrysler Group LLC
that bunch of sewer pipe junk does nothing except cost gas miles/have not seen a report thats credible that says anything good about that junk/cant happen because of computer controlled engines/
Look for a yellow T shaped handle between the engine and the radiator, typically. This is the trans dipstick. With the vehicle on a level surface with the engine warm and running, engage the parking brake. Place transmission in each gear fro five seconds each. Pull the dipstick out completely, wipe with a paper towel and reinsert. Pull out again and look at the bottom end of it. The trans fluid level should be in the area marked NORMAL. If low, add ONLY Chrysler ATF+4 fluid or its after market equivalent. Adding Mercon or Dexron will damage the trans, requiring a rebuild or replacement.
You may have to go to a dealership to have the fluid checked. Not too many years ago Chrysler stopped installing ATF dipsticks due to owners adding the incorrect fluid and/or amounts to their transmissions. Not sure what year that occurred but it has been within the last three to five years I think. Usually the dipstick/filler tube is found on the right side of the transmission very near the firewall.
