Question:

Where should I start looking for a replacement Chair?

My wife bought a dining room set long before we met. Today, one of the chairs just broke. I like the set, and I'd like to replace the chair. Any clues where I might start looking? The chair was purchased as part of a 5-piece set at a Kroger in Knoxville, TN. It's not a great set, but it's decent-looking. I'd hate to purchase a new set just for a chair. Underneath each piece is a sticker:Made in ChinaCCLF08 OF747I have NO idea what this is. I don't expect anyone to know where to FIND such an item. I just want some ideas how to start. Google searches yield limited results. Thanks!

Answer:

Search eBay and Craigslist to start with. I think eBay has a wanted list too.
Don't throw out the chair. Take it to a furniture repair shop and see if it can be repaired. There is a good chance they can. And you might want to check the safety of the other three chairs too. As for finding a replacement, check on Craigslist, FreeCycle, and Ebay. If you have a Facebook page, post a good photo and ask if anyone has a set they would like to get rid of. See if there is a Facebook group like Knoxville TN Buy, Sell Trade and post there too. And please give some idea of the date it was purchased. We have no idea if you have known your wife for 5 years or 50.
take some photos of a good chair and go shopping at the furniture stores ... one of those stores will help you locate a chair that will look close to the others ... and quit throwing furniture ... SERIOUSLY .... a small and independent furniture deale
