Question:

Where to find zero insertion force (ZIF) connectors?

Hello,During my recent attempt to fix my other computer myself I managed to break 2 zero insertion force (ZIF) connectors. One holds the ribbon for my power button and the other for my LED board (play, fast forward, rewind, sound, quick play, dvd play)Now, I managed to get the ribbons to be held in place with duct tape, but I know that one bump and they will come loose.Where in the world can I find replacement zero insertion force (ZIF) connectors? Oh, and of course the 2 I broke are different sizes.Thank You,Tyler

Answer:

once you're having all this hardship then it is not a ZIF connector ZIF stands for 0 Insertion tension . what have been you doing pulling connectors off the board interior the 1st place?
