Question:

where to get an exhaust system for a 63 chevy truck with a 350?

i have a 63 chevy truck that a took the 292 straight six out of and put a 350 in but i cant find an exhaust system in a catalog or online. i know that they didnt make that truck with a 350 so thats part of the problem but alot of people put 350s in those trucks so where can i go to get my truck equipped with an exhaust system

Answer:

Depends, if your a hollywood stuntman, then yes youd have to replace the tire so you could feel it lock perfectly the next time you tried it, but for all the rest of us na you shouldnt need to, or atleast i never have.
If you've not worn a flat spot in the tyre, and the front wheel doesn't bump as it goes round now, you'll be fine.
if you cant find one online you most likely will have to get a set of headers for a 350 then put together your own custom exhaust system.
Look up your year truck with a 283 engine it is the same stuff. But if you didnt use the correct exhaust manifolds (1963 style) or you installed it with headers the factory stuff wont work anyway. Just take it to any muffler shop and they can make up whatever you need.
All you need to do is look for an exhaust system listed to fit your truck and a SBC engine. All of the 1955-92 in cars and up to 2002 in trucks V8 small block engines has same exhaust port pattern, spread, etc So if system will fit one small block it will fit all of them 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, 400
