So I built myself a projection screen out of blackout cloth a few months ago. It looks pretty good, but is sort of lacking in the blacks. I would also enjoy being able to watch stuff with mild ambient light, something that just isn't possible with standard black out cloth. I was thinking of building another screen, this time with a black cloth. I was thinking that this would allow good picture even with ambient light and would enhance the blacks altogether. I however have a small 300 lumen LED HD projector which is surprisingly bright for its size. Would that have any effect on its performance on a black screen? Also, where would I purchase black screen material? Thanks!
