I currently own a small gift shop in my hometown and was wanting to start carrying the baby headbands that are so popular right now but can't find what they use to make themIt is called crochet elastic but I have looked in all of the craft stores in my area and haven't found anyDoesn't anyone know a website I could order it fromWholesale or not I don't care, I just really want to find the stuff.Thank you so much!
I rarely put mine in foil, unless I'm making double-baked potatoes (easier to handle when you're scooping out the insides) I rub them with olive oil and sprinkle Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning on the outsideThe outsides get a little crunchier then, more like potato skins; and, of course, all the nutrients are in the skins, so it's best if you eat the skins too! Don't forget to poke themJust set on a pie pan or baking sheet anywhere between 375 and 425 (depending what else is in the oven) and bake between 1-1/2 hours and 45 min - depending on the size of them and what the temp is I'm so glad you asked about BAKED potatoes, and aren't one of those people who microwaves them! (yuck - hard in spots and gluey inside)
Definitely!! But, the easiest way I have found is to Micro them first depending on the size approx3 minthen place in the oven or toaster oven, and use olive oil (I use garlic ooil) on the skin rub it on put it in the Toven 300, regular oven 350(like I said depending on the size) until you can pierce with a small sharp knife on the top of the potato, take it out let it set on a cookie rack for 5 to 8 minutes, where you knifed it, do the same thing the entire way across and squash itit will fluff upReally it will You can either scoop it out for twice baked potatoes add what you choose or use as a regular baked potato GREAT
Yes you canSimply brush any dirt from the potatoMake an X on the skin with a knife (don't cut too deep, you just need to pierce the skin)Put the potatoes in a hot oven for about 30-45 minutes (depending on the size of the potatoes)When cooked add your favourite topping.
If you end up baking the potatoes in an oven (or toaster oven) (at 350? until you can easily insert a knife into the center) you might want to invest in some Bake Potato Nails, which you drive into the potato before you bake them - it reduces the cooking time by about a thirdI like crispy skin on baked potato, so I never use oil or foilIdaho is the best potato to bake.
I have made those baby headbands using a strand of elastic thread along with a strand of yarn to crochet the thingsI have also made lots of the bands and some snoods for others using the pony tail bandsGet the round elastic that is fiber coveredmeasure it the length you want it, overlap and put the fabric tube on it or crochet over it or what ever else you want to doIt comes in very fine about size 40 and up to a quarter inchGet the round elastic from any sewing department.
