Question:

Which are fireproofing external wall materials?

Which are fireproofing external wall materials?

Answer:

According to combustion performance, external wall thermal insulation materials are classified as Grade-A and Grade-B. Grade-A refers to incombustible material and Grade-B combustible material. A few years ago the fire in CCTV building and Shenyang Hotel were caused by Grade-B material. Currently Grade-A material is more commonly uesd and less expensive than Grade-B material. Grade-A material can be divided into thermal mortar, phenolic foam board, rock wool board, foam cement board, etc. Thermal mortar is easy for construction and unexpensive, but it is also easy for faking due tou its simple procesing. It is recommended to find a large factory whihc has gone through the formalities.
For example, Grade-A waterproofing external wall thermal insulation material: glass wool, foam glass, foam cement, hole-closed perlite, rock wool; Grade-B1 waterproofing external wall thermal insulation material: XPS after special treatment. There are also PU after special treatment, phenolic aldehyde and gelatine powder polyphenyl granule. Grade-B2 waterproofing external wall thermal insulation material: PE, and EPS. Grade-A: Completely fireproofing buliding material. Without probility of burning, completely fireproofing buliding material is expensive and unnecessary for home decoration. It is usually used in arsenal and electrical equipment department store. Grade-B1: nonflammable building material: With good flame resistance, nonflammable building material will not burn in the air or at high temperature, but it maby burn in the air and at high temperature. But when the fire source ransfers, it will be out immediately. Grade-B2: combustible building materials. Due to its small firresistance, it is easy to burn in the air or at high temperature, such as wooden building materials. The above are external wall fireproofing material of different classes.
1. Acording to national standard GB8624-97, the combustion performance of construction materials are classified as: Grade-A: incombustible building material: Grade-A WW thermal insulation material which hardly burns. Grade-B1: nonflammable building material: nonflammable building material has good flame resistance. It is difficult to burn or spread in the air or at high temperature. Grade-B1: nonflammable building material: nonflammable building material has good flame resistance. It is easy to burn in the air or at high temperature, thus spreading the fire, such as wooden column, timber roof truss, timber beam and wooden stairway. Grade-B3: inflammable building material. Without fire resistance, inflammable building material is easy to burn and thus cause a fire. 2. According to fireproofing performance, external wall thermal insulation materials can be classified as: 1. Thermal insulation material with Grade-A combustion performance: WW inorganic thermal insulation material, rock wool, glass wool, foam glass, foamed ceramics and foam cement. 2. Thermal insulation material with Grade-B1 combustion performance: XPS panel after special treatment/ PU, phenolic aldehyde, gelatine powder polyphenyl granule after special treatment. 3. Thermal insulation material with Grade-B2 combustion performance: EPS, XPS, PU, PE, ETC.
