I hope to replace my floors soon. Which is easier to maintain and keep clean - ceramic tile or hardwood (or laminate wood)? A follow up to this question is which would you put in the foyer vs/kitchen and casual dining areas?
Ceramic tile is definitely easier to maintain. However I caution you to get a good grade of it, not your cheapo depot $1.50 a tile one. I did and one of them is cracked already. Tile is best for foyer (mud, rain, dirt) and kitchen areas, however it might be a bit cold for a dining area. Some good wood laminates are still very easy to maintain and would look/feel much better in a dining room. Good luck
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/avuTv Personally, I would advise against buying a Range Rover as over the last few years, RR has had a plague of problems with air suspension, poor quality fit, air leaks and the like. If you find a vehicle that you really like, though, please run a CarFax on it, then take it to a GOOD independent auto repair place as well as maybe an independent Rover shop to have them do a complete and thorough inspection of the vehicle from top to bottom. Also, do a good search of the vehicle online thru automotive sites like Edmunds or some of the others to get more opinions. If you are going to be spending more than $30k for a used vehicle, it's best to get all the info you can on that vehicle before you take possession. This could at least give you some peace of mind. If the user or the dealer refuses to let you take it to your mechanic, walk away from it.
Foyer hardwoodlaminate is not tuff enough my brother used laminate and he was sorry the warranty does not cover chips and scratches.kitchen and casual dining room (if attached to kitchen ) ceramic tile.with both you can simply use murphys oil soap to wash and you don't need multiple cleaners good luck and have fun
There really isn't much difference if the wood floor is properly finished and maintained. They both tend to shed almost everything dropped, thrown or spilled on them. However, over the long run tile will require less finish maintenance than the hardwood. My personal choice would be the tile. But be care, tile floors can be extremely slippery when water, food or other substances are on them.
