Which of the following engineering types is the best?

Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil?Now I know for Engineering one needs to have certain aptitudes, and have a strong base in the sciences/mathematics (physics, chem,bio, math/calculus etc etc.) but out of the ones i listed above how does one go about determining which one is right for me? So far i gather Chemical Engineers make the most moneybut i need to have a good reason to go into one of the above.how do i know which one i will like the most? how do i know which one i will enjoy the most? how do i know which one will i be the best at? Money and employment obviously play a part in this.but i am less concerned with those things.

If you are debating between those four majors, perhaps there is a better majorHave you ever heard of Materials Engineering? You learn about the atomic structure and reactions (as with parts of Chemical engineering) and the stress strain relationships on any system as well as free body diagrams (as with mechanical and civil) as well as how and why most electronics work (as in Electrical Engineering)Think about it, Materials impact everything (even biomaterials) for any type of crossover work for any type of interest But in order for you to determine which is best for you, I suggest doing a little researchLook at some of the products each of those majors makeThink about it you would rather figure out how to balance a chemistry equation, would rather sum the forces of a structure, would figure out when something breaks, or figure out the voltage/current at any point in a 'maze'Do you want to create a new type of glue, polymer, fuel? Chemical Do you want to design a car, widget, crane, or bicycle? Mechanical Do you want to build a robot, laser gun, radio, motion sensor? Electrical Do you want to build a bridge, road, building?
