I have two mixer showers in house fed from worcester 35cdi boiler. They have both worked fine for 8 years.Recently they both suffer from the same problem. The water heats fine for approx 2 mins then boiler goes off and within 15 secs boiler fires up ,this repeats continually. However when hot water taps are run for bath ,sink etc the boiler heats the water ok and does not go off.Can anyone give me any help on which part may be at fault with my boiler ?
If the boiler works fine when running hot water its more likely to be the showers that are the problem. Chech the shower heads are not being obstructed by scale or debris as what is probably happening is there is insufficient flow through the heads and the boiler is going to shut down either on its thermostat or overheat cut off. It is possible that either of those components could be faulty but I would check the showers first.
examine the rigidity gauge whilst the boiler heats up, on the tip of the warmth cycle what does it study? no rely if that's above 3 bar your rigidity vessel is defective, it is usually a purple metallic cylinder or rectangle container and could sound hollow whilst tapped. If the rigidity gauge does not upward push to 3 bar then you certainly've a leak, this leak would desire to be everywhere, not in simple terms on the boiler, to keep looking below flooring and at the back of partitions leak sealer would desire to be added to the gadget, it is offered from any plumbing keep.
