Question:

Who preformed your perenial massage?

did you have to do it your self? did you have a midwife or doula do it for you? i cant reach down there and idk who im suppose to have do it for me. i haven't got a midwife or a doula yet but i plan on getting either one or the other.

Answer:

I did try to do it myself but found it dificult so got my partner to do it for me. I am not sure it is something a midwife or doula would do for you though but i guess it wont hurt to ask!
If you can't reach down there then you must be pretty far along, and so you ought to have a midwife or doula by now. I never did that during pregnancy, I did kegals 15 reps 3 times a day. It worked like a charm, only one small tear which did not require stitches.
yes you should get a doula.
My husband did it for me. It needs to be done daily starting in the 34th week of pregnancy. You certainly can't go to your midwife everyday to have it done.
I too couldn't reach down there very well, so my fiance did it for me. We worked at it every night for a good six weeks. It hurt but I knew we were making progress, because every time he said he could stretch it a little bit further than the last time. Of course it's a little awkward (in more ways than one) at first, but if you and your partner are comfortable with each other, it should be fine. If you don't have a partner though, a doula or midwife can help you out. Or even your sister or mother IF you are both comfortable with that. Good luck!
