Whut do u call the silo-type of addition that's built on the side of some victorian houses? They're cylinder-shaped, often with a cone top, something like a castle.here's a pic…

I believe the correct name would be Tower. I thought it was turret, (derived from Italian torretta, / little tower, or Latin turris / tower). But the difference between a turret and a tower, is that the tower is to the ground, whereas a turret is built above ground off the corner of a building... That's my two cents...
That looks like a Queen Anne style Victorian and I do believe a tower would be the proper term.
