Who vacuums in the dark??
I think its so you can see when u r cleaning places with little light such as closets with no light and under tables and couches and stuff
Supposedly they are to help you to see where you need to vacuum and show the dirt more. But I haven't found that they do that. Other than that they are there for looks.
I think because when you vacuum under a table, sofa, chair, etc, it's sorta dark. That's all i can think of. :)
