Now that biodegradable plastic bottles are available is there any excuse for not using a biodegradable bottle?
First biodegrade plastics are not a solution. It is closer to a temporary measure. They are more about claiming your product is eco-friendly then eco-actually being friendly. Plastic bottles that store beer are type 1, PET plastic. There are many types of plastic, but you can only use PET for beer. The reason is most plastics leach out chemicals to the beer inside (it contains alcohol, a solvent). Even biodegradable bottles do.
