Why did the romans value the Scutum shield?
Are you talking fire alarm (heat) or smoke detector?? Many smoke detectors deteriorate with age - the original package would state how often it should be replaced.some say they should be replaced in as little as 5 years. They are so inexpensive now, toss it out and get a new one. ADDED: then since it is a rental, ask the landlord to replace: in most places, they are required to provide a working detector. If not where you live, spend $15 !!
Is it just for the sensor in your apartment? If so, I don't think it would be an issue to change it/ take out the battery for the night. If it is, just explain to your landlord why you needed to take out the battery.
They do that to tell you they need a new battery.
the battery may well be on the blink - but you say it's not - ok - could be moisture in the detector - needs a clean out - good luck
Window vista are more advance and therefore harder for hacker to hack but if you receive any download without any antivirus or critical security patches that mean it is doom day and i think that i heard that the smart screen filter in IE8 filter any EXE or PHP file for virus in addition vista has what they call a fingerprint scanner and some of my friend said that it is faster and secure because they saw the Readyboost and the leak filter so Windows vista is around 50-80% safer.
