rims is no excuse.because i have 17s on my civic and i go over the speed bumps like normal..but trucks and suvs go pokey *** slow over them
If it is being worn off by the impacts of tires, it is physical weathering.
There is a sensor under the seat that detects weight in the seat for the passenger side (I assumed that you would be using the drivers belt). You should be able to disconnect the sensor from the bottom of the seat but keep in mind the airbags for that seat will not function properly until the sensor is put back. The other and least troublesome option would be to go ahead and buckle the seat belt while you are using the seat to carry items on. (Make sure your passengers utilize the seat belt when traveling). Good luck. Driving without using seat belts is dangerous and most likely illegal in most places.
