Sounds like you are in for along haul. It is not safe to feed a horse in a trailer unless they can get their head down near the ground so if they inhale something they can get the head down to cough it out. When I am hauling mares and geldings I always load the mare first because they are a lot more apt to kick at a strange horse than a gelding.And unless it is really cold it is not wise to blanket them because a lot of times wehen you take them out they will be all sweaty from the heat they make in the trailer. Never used a bed wetting alarm but have heard its a 50 / 50, some kids wake up to it and use the potty where as the other kids continue to wet as they are waking up because they never hear the alarm or take a lot to wake up. I was a wetter at night and my parents used diapers on me and I have a 4 yr old son that wets the bed and I put him in diapers at night.
